Terms and Conditions

This competition is open to all adults over the age of 18. One winner will be chosen from those who opt to enter the competition and submit their vision with a valid email address. Competition entrants must submit a valid vision for Edinburgh in the year 2050.

The competition closes at 23:59 on Friday, 4th January 2018. One winner will be chosen at random, receiving one prize of two return tickets from Edinburgh Airport. There is no cash alternative and vouchers have no cash value.

The Prize

This draw is for a pair of Economy Class tickets to be won by one entrant. The flights offer is subject to availability and may exclude travel during peak periods. As peak periods differ depending on the destination, flexibility with the travel dates may be required. The booking of the prize tickets must be completed before 1 December 2019 with the first leg of the journey commencing within 350 days of the date of booking. The carrier for all flights must be Turkish Airlines. The first departure point and the final return point must be Edinburgh Airport and the destination must be one where Turkish Airlines has scheduled flights at the time of booking. In the event that the selected flights at the time of booking are subsequently unavailable for travel for any reason, another destination and/or date of travel must be selected.

Only the person named as the prize winner is eligible to redeem the prize. At least one of the travellers must be 18 or over. The person named as the prize winner must be one of the travellers. The tickets are not eligible for cash redemption, cannot be re-sold and name changes are not permitted after the issuance. 

Flights will need to be redeemed by emailing edi.marketing@thy.com by 1 December 2019. Both tickets which comprise the prize must be taken simultaneously and cannot be used on separate dates. All flights are subject to Turkish Airlines’ General Conditions of Carriage as updated and amended from time to time which can be found athttps://p.turkishairlines.com/en-gb/legal-notice/general-conditions-of-carriage/index.html; any flights not used by once booked shall result in the prize being forfeited; the winner is responsible for their own passport and visa requirements and the passport and visa requirements of any person who travels with them; travel insurance, accommodation and transfers are NOT included in the prize. Flight tickets are strictly subject to availability.

Turkish Airlines reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.

Turkish Airlines reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.

Insofar as is permitted by law, Turkish Airlines, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
